Community & Sponsorship

Community and Social Responsibility

Community

At Anaconda we support our local, regional and national communities through a number of initiatives and fundraising efforts with the aim to inspire, equip and enable the community to enjoy the outdoors. Team members are encouraged to participate in volunteering and fundraising activities, which customers can support through special in-store initiatives.

As a 100% Australian owned and operated business we are invested in developing stronger and healthier communities and recognising the importance of these grass-roots groups and the impact of our partnerships and support.

We support various charities, raising important funds and awareness for many worthy causes. Our support has benefited a number of organisations which have included Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, Kivuli Orphanage and School in Kenya, Leave No Trace programs, the Australian Red Cross, the Cancer Council of Australia, the Kokoda Challenge, The Starlight Children's Foundation & the Great Adventure Challenge and Big Brother Big Sister, just to name a few.

If you would like Anaconda to consider supporting your community please contact us.

On 20 May 2012 Anaconda was a proud sponsor of the RSPCA ACT Million Paws Walk with all funds raised going directly to assisting the RSPCA Weston shelter to provide care for the thousands of animals that arrive at the shelter each year. Our Anaconda Fyshwick team provided the RSPCA with some much needed equipment to help make this day a success.

Anaconda is proud to support the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute, Australia’s largest child health research organisation. Its research priorities include allergies, diabetes, premature birth, obesity and cancer. This life saving research has the capacity to improve the health and wellbeing of children everywhere.
