Anaconda Group Pty Ltd ("Anaconda") respects the privacy of individuals by treating all personal information as confidential and by handling it in accordance with the
Privacy Act 2001 and the National Privacy Principles. During the course of its activities, Anaconda will collect, use and disclose personal information from:
- Customers who visit Anaconda Stores;
- Members of the Anaconda Adventure Club Club;
- Customers of the Shop-At-Home Service;
- Visitors to, and users of, our website;
- People who enter our trade promotions and/or other competitions; and
- Customers who register gift card details.
Use and disclosure of information collected by Anaconda
The information collected may include:
- Details you provide us with when you visit our stores;
- Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address from members of the Anaconda Adventure Club, gift card registrants and entrants into our trade promotions and/or other competitions;
- Your name, mailing address, phone number and credit card information from Customers of the Shop-At-Home Service.
Anaconda collects this information in the following ways:
- when you submit your Anaconda Adventure Club application form;
- when you place an order via the Shop-At-Home Service;
- when you provide us with information at one of our stores;
- when you register a gift card;
- when you enter a trade promotion or other competition being run by Anaconda; and
- on an on-going basis, whenever you visit or use Anaconda’s website.
Anaconda shares the information collected from Customers, Anaconda Adventure Club members and visitors to the website within the Spotlight Group.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, the Spotlight Group includes Spotlight Pty Ltd, Spotlight Limited and Spotlight Ptd Ltd.
Companies within the Spotlight Group comply with this Privacy Policy. Anaconda may also pass on certain information such as your name and address to companies that perform services on our behalf, such as delivery companies or to data entry service providers or to trade promotion or gift card administration and/or account management providers, but Anaconda will not authorise those companies to use your personal information for any purpose other than the primary purpose of providing the required services.
Anaconda may use your information to process your transaction; to administer your account; to conduct credit and other checks; for Anaconda’s own internal purposes (such as risk management, staff training and billing); to help Anaconda develop its website to be more specific to customers' needs and user friendly; to advise you about upcoming sales, specials, events, trade promotions and Anaconda Adventure Club information; to manage your gift card balance; and for any other use that you authorise. In addition, Anaconda may also use your information to promote and market its products and services, or the products and services of others. However, Anaconda will not do this by email or SMS (except as part of an email which facilitates, completes or confirms a transaction with you) unless we have your consent to do so.
These emails and SMS will include an "unsubscribe" facility. If you no longer wish to receive emails or SMS, you can contact our Customer Care Centre details of which are available on the Contact Us page of our website.
Cookies
Anaconda may use cookies to collect information from you. Cookies identify a particular computer to Anaconda’s server. Anaconda may use the information collected in this way to provide the user of that computer with a personalised experience of Anaconda’s website. Your browser may allow you to disable cookies. If you do this, your experience of the Anaconda website will not be personalised.

We use industry-standard safeguards to ensure the confidentiality of your personal information. To the maximum extent permitted by law however, we accept no responsibility for any loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure, alteration or destruction of personal information which you submit to Anaconda.

If your information changes or you discover that information held by Anaconda is otherwise incorrect, please contact Anaconda by sending a message to us via our Contact Us page, or by calling us on the details provided on the Contact Us page of our website and Anaconda will endeavour to update and correct the information. Anaconda may also contact you from time to time to check that your information is still accurate.
